Once you
have told us what you need and so that we can figure out how
many days we will record, what talent and props are required, etc., we
provide you with a detailed budget -- free of charge.
The cost
of programmes vary from as little as R800/running minute to
R4,000+/running minute, depending on whether the programme
is straight-forward or requires helicopter shots, 3-D animation,
famous-name actors, puppets, huge studio sets, etc.
Videos
of functions -- in which all shots are recorded consecutively
-- require much less editing time and such programmes are,
therefore, much less costly. A 3-hour edited programme
of a function, will cost approximately R10,000.00.
A quick discussion will provide
us with information we need to draw up a quotation:
- What is the topic?
- Does the client provide information on which to base the script?
- How many days are we going to record?
- How many cameras do we need to record?
- Where are we going to record?
- How many km will we travel?
- Are actors/presenters involved?
- Do you have any specific actors/presenter in mind?
- Do we need a commentary track?
- Will 2D or 3D Animation be required?
- Artwork & scans?
- How many VHS/CD-ROM/VHS copies of the completed programme are required and should the CD-ROM / DVD be authored -- i.e.chapters, scene selection, etc?

Due to
the nature of the medium, the shorter the programme, the more
expensive it becomes per running minute.
When autocue
etc. is not required, we shoot on Panasonic GS400 and/or DVCAMl
and edit on the cutting-edge Canopus Storm 2 digital editing
system, thus ensuring you of broadcast quality.
You could go the expensive agency route or
the simple, one-stop Panache route - will also be easy on your pocket!
