Your Wedding Day is such a big event, for which you plan so carefully, but that passes so quickly -- and often in a kind of a happy haze ...  Having a DVD of the special day makes it possible to see a great deal that you may not have noticed on the day, allows you to relive those happy memories for a lifetime and makes it possible to share your special day with those who could not attend. We go to great lengths to capture the exact atmosphere and all the lovely details of your wedding, record on Standard DV or HD, edit on the Canopus Edius 7 Digital system, have lights for any occasion and many years of experience. Your Wedding Video will last a lifetime, so choose your videographer with care.  Look at examples of the company's work and ensure that the detail is captured -- flowers, close-ups of faces, hair style and decorations, stain glass windows, rings, detail on the wedding dress and wedding cake, etc.   It is always a good idea to ask for references! For Weddings we usually record the following: Preparations of the bride (and groom) The reception venue (so you can also see what it looked like!) Outside the church, everyone arriving (in a number of years it is going to be great fun to see what everyone looked like on the day) The whole ceremony The bride and groom emerging from church The taking of photographs The reception (speeches, throwing of bouquet, cutting of cake, First Dance, etc.) – and we stay till you tell us to go. Comments/good wishes from guests can also be included if you wish. Recording with one or two cameras: Either way, up to 7 hours of camera recording is included in the price. When more than 7 hours of camera work is required, an additional R300.00 per additional hour becomes payable (per camera). One-camera recording and edit: R4,500.00  One can generally get perfectly good coverage of a wedding with one camera, the exception being where either the couple or the minister is standing against direct light from outside – e.g. in front of a huge window.  In such case, it would be good to consider a 2-camera recording. Two-camera recording and edit: R5,500.00.  We prefer recording with two cameras as all contingencies are then covered, it makes for faster and easier editing -- and much less stress for the camera operator!  Travel charged at R3.00/km. THE FINAL PRODUCT: You are supplied with the professionally edited footage on DVD.  A Wedding Video is usually between 2 and 3 hours long and the duration depends mostly only the length of the sermon and speeches. Editing includes opening and closing titles and music of your choice – anything on CD. All the poor shots, which are unavoidable at a wedding (e.g. people walking into shot and staying there and/or turning their backs on the camera, etc.) are removed and live music/background sound is cross-faded to avoid harsh audio cuts. The Wedding Invitation is usually scanned/recorded as well and included in the opening sequence. The edited Wedding is supplied on DVD, packaged in a DVD Presentation Box with full colour labels and box insert. You can provide the photograph to print on the front of the presentation case. The DVD is chaptered – e.g. every forward on your remote will get you to the next chapter. The chapters are listed on the back of the DVD Presentation Box insert.  (Unlimited chapters, including one chapter for each speaker.) If the Wedding is longer than 120 minutes, the programme it is packaged on two DVDs, in order to provide optimum quality. Copies of Master DVD:  R40 per DVD, thus if there are 2 Master DVDs (i.e. the programme is longer than 90 minutes and both DVDs are packaged is a double DVD presentation box), copies @ R80 each for 1-10 copies.  The more copies ordered simultaneously, the lower the unit price. EXTRAS: Authoring of the DVD, up to six chapters -- an additional R150.00  Full Authoring (providing a personalised menu with an unlimited amount of chapters) @ R350/hr. (Amount of time spent will depend on the number of chapters.) In addition, we can provide a 10 - 15 minute Highlights of the day that can be added either at the front or back of the entire wedding. Additional charge: R1,500.00 Life History Photographs of Bride and Groom which usually precedes footage of the wedding itself, can be added, along with titles, and edited to music. (Own music can be supplied, on CD. Otherwise, we have music from which you can choose.) Cost: R300.00 per hour for recording and editing of photos, slides, old film material, etc.  You can save yourself a lot of money by providing photographs clearly marked according to the order in which they should appear and in digital form. (If this is not possible, we will do the scanning for you.) The editing/scanning time required will depend on depend on the number of photographs and in what form we receive them.
