at our UK
celebration (which as well as moving into our house has been consuming

has been shown on KykNet a few years ago already (20 May 2001).The programme has since been adapted slightly

programme has been developed to teach children the
most vital life skills so that they are less vulnerable in situations
where
they could be sexually exploited.The
project posed several real challenges to the script writers and
production
staff due to the fact that very sensitive issues are addressed.It also required multi-disciplinary research
to find ways of conveying the sensitive message so that very young
children can
be taught these vital life skills.The
success that Liesel Eiselen achieved in the project is admirable.

Liesel
Eiselen from Panache Video Productions undertook the
development of a video production for the Department of Justice and Constitutional
Development
relating to Criminal Court Procedure.The
presentation features a narrated trip through a
criminal court and
explains issues and roles and functions related thereto.The production is available in four narrated
versions (English, Zulu, Tswana, Afrikaans) and is used for public
education
programmes initiated by our division.
A
criminal
court in South
Africa, although very
relevant to the public at large, is a very bland topic.The content usually comes over as boring and
technical in nature.However, with
Liesel’s involvement from the point of conceptualisation to final
production,
the creative approach was unmistakable.She
has
managed
to
put
the
legal
jargon
in
language
that
is easy to
understand and package it all in a very viewable format.
She was
instrumental in the casting of presenters in
different languages, which gives new value and credence to this
production;
without her guidance I would have fallen back on our voice-over options.
Her
suggestions with the use of animation, truly adds
value to the production.Here
specifically her advice on cost implications was of great value to me.
Liesel is
easy to converse with and is thorough in her
attempts to receive a complete brief so that she can provide the
customer with
what they want/need, and not what she thinks they want/need.She was invaluable in assisting the

FFE-Buffalo, which manufactures mining machinery, particularly feeders

The popcorn screening (with microwave popcorn) went extremely well. Our
colleagues
were absolutely thrilled and gave feedback that these are very
informative DVDs (and also had lots of compliments for Panache!!!). All
agreed that after watching the DVDs they under-stand the depth of the
CFS programme much better.
I also used it for training on Tuesday in Upington and wow... it blew
the people's hair back! Now all want copies. All want to use it. It
worked extremely well
in training as well.
