Liesel Eiselen, Managing Director of Panache
Video
Productions, obtained her M.Sc. (Radio and
Television)
from the University of Illinois, USA and worked for WILL AM/FM/TV in
Urbana, Illinois - a PBS station - as Broadcast Coordinator and
Television Workshop Instructor for two years, gaining thorough and
wide-ranging experience in television production; since then she has
been involved in the production of hundreds of video and TV
programmes/series as well as radio broadcasts.
Before beginning to freelance, she worked
for the SABC as TV producer for a number
of years, mostly designing, writing and producing "Wielie Walie". She
presented the Afrikaans Weather Programme on TV1 for almost ten years
and broadcast on Jacaranda 94.2 for more than a decade. She also
presented on Radio Kosmos for a number of years, teaches computer
courses from time to time and is a volunteer reader for Tape Aids for
the Blind.
She lectured part-time at the erstwhile
RAU (Communication Department) for four years, presenting practical TV
courses for third year and Honour's students years and has many years
of experience as language translator/editor - and lots of publications
to show for it.
After
freelancing for a number of years,
i.a. completing productions for Theunissen & van den Heever, Saron
Productions, Filmmedia Productions, HAUM Studio and Omni-Ad, Liesel
launched Panache
Video
Productions in 1990.
